Progressive Manual Therapies

Arik utilizes a very wide range of techniques to attain
exceptional results.  Often used are Trigger Point Therapies, sports therapies, Osteopathic soft tissue
approaches, and Manual Ligament Therapy, which he has pioneered and developed.

If you are unfamiliar, please feel free to ask Arik about any of these techniques.

As a patient of Arik's, it is important to be well hydrated and to not have an empty stomach.  Effective bodywork will move a significant amount of lactic acid and lymphatic fluid, thus if
dehydrated or  hungry, mild nausea may be felt after the treatment.  It is also important to understand that these treatments should not hurt, the only time discomfort may be felt is as Arik assesses your condition in order to choose the correct approach in order to release and re-align tissues and structures.

Arik feels that brute strength is not a safe or proper way to
approach bodywork. It is about problem solving and finesse, these skills only come from performing
numerous hours of treatment and having learned from each
experience. As a result, Arik does not offer excessive deep-tissue therapy. He has come to understand through practice, research, and teaching that this type of treatment does not accomplish much that is positive towards healing and causes dangerous wear and tear to therapists.

Finally, but not of least importance, is communication.  It is imperative that you feel free to convey any and all feelings, questions, and concerns about your treatment without
hesitation.  That being said, Arik will make sure all possible
unknowns including, what you wear, how you may feel during and after, and what results to expect from your appointment(s) are addressed before your first treatment begins.
